On Being a Counsellor

Jill enjoys the creativity of counseling – of helping children, adults, teens and their families to get unstuck and to overcome challenges in their lives.

As an accomplished electric guitarist and songwriter, Jill views the counselling process as similar to being a musician – both require a willingness to connect deeply with our feelings and to be open and authentic in our relationships with others.

Jill is a a person-centered therapist, in which the focus is on creating a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to explore concerns, gain insight and find solutions. Jill uses her sense of humour, warmth and curiosity to really connect with her clients and to understand what is going on for them.

For Jill, it is inspiring to help others to use their own strengths and inner resources to create change and movement in their lives.
